  1. Crunchy Crafts – Making A Playcord

Today we’re going to make play cords. Play cords are a great toy for your kids to play with.

They’re used in a lot of wardrobe preschools and kindergartens. And we have a lot around our house they can be small like this to be a bracelet or an arm band for a night or they can be long like this one and can be an anchor chain or reins for a horse. They are lot softer than plastic that children might grab and also a lot softer than regular rope. So first thing you need for this is ball of yarn. You can use 3 to 5 balls I’m going to use 3 here today and you need a crochet hook.

That’s all it takes. I’m using a wooden one. Take the 3 ends of the balls of your yarn and tie a knot. Easy enough, we’ll put them in a good spot for you. Pick up your crochet hook, next you need to make a slip knot by making a loop then another loop, put the second loop through the first loop and pull. That’s a slip knot. Put that through the crochet hook – you’re now ready to crochet.
