Hi everyone, at the suggestion of a friend I’m going to be doing some video tutorials for my blog.
And the first tutorial I’m going to do is showing you how to tie a flat ribbon on to a card. My cousin is getting married and she wanted to know how to do that for her invitations. So the first thing you do is take your little rectangular punch - itty bitty slot and punch two slots like that. If you have a double slotted punch you can use that it’s a little easier but I’m cheap and I don’t have one and I’m not buying one.
And then you take a length of ribbon, this is probably about 4″ long or so. You put it in from the front to the back, one tip through each hole - like so - pull it all the way through see you have a nice little flat centre. Then on the back side of your card you’re going to crisscross them and then take them back through the opposite hole. Pull it back to the front. I think it helps if you have your ribbon cut on an angle; it just seems to be a little bit easier to get it to go through the hole, easier to grab.
This is part of a series of posts, you can read the rest of it by clicking on the links for the Table of Contents at the top of this post.
