Show Me How - Christmas Decorations Sample
Add a feminine touch to your tree at Christmas with these pretty crape paper handbags.
They are perfect for hanging a chocolate or a small gift from the tree but look lovely just as they are. We’ve used double-sided crape paper to make them. Which is a different color on either sides. But ordinary crape paper will work just as well. Cut a sixteen by seventeen centimeters of rectangle crape paper with the long sides of the rectangle parallel to the grains of the lines with the paper.
Use a pencil and ruler to draw your lines across the center of the paper and what will be the inside. Gently stretch the short edged of the paper between your fingers to create a frilled effect. Use a twenty- centimeter length of silk cord to make a handle. Seal the ends of the cords with household glue to prevent them fraying. Then use glue dot to stick the ends and paste just inside the short edge of the bag. Using a piece of scrap paper to protect your work surface run paper glue with the long edges of the crape paper and fold in half along the fold line.
Cut a small square of blue crape paper and frill the two opposite edges working with the grain as before. Use paper glue to stick the square to the front of the bag then decorate with a star, sticking it on with a glue dot.
