Before we start painting ceramic tile, let’s talk about why and where to do it. Painting ceramic tile should really only be a last stitch ever because it is very hard to clean. You can’t scrub it and you can’t use abrasive cleaners on it. In addition, you can only paint ceramic tile in places that won’t be wet. You can’t paint ceramic tile in showers or other places that are around a lot of water because mildew likes to eat certain types of paint and you don’t your new paint finish to get eaten. If you are going to paint ceramic tile on a counter top such as this, you have to make sure that you are willing to clean up the water as soon as it gets on it. Now if it still sounds appealing to you, I’ll show you how to paint ceramic tile. First you need to clean the tile thoroughly and I mean really clean.
